Eagles Mere, ''the last unspoiled resort,'' sits on a mountain with a pristine lake surrounded by giant hemlock, rhododendron, and mountain laurel. The historic Main Inn was built in 1887 and the Garden House about 1978. They are separated by our lawn and gardens. Both buildings have recently been restored. All of our guest rooms are individually decorated with antiques and reproduction pieces, no two rooms are identical. All guest rooms have a private bath, some with tub and shower, some have shower only and one has a two-person whirlpool tub. Guest rooms have individual heat control and summer air conditioning. There is telephone and television available for our guests use in the Main Inn. Rates include a full country breakfast and five course gourmet dinner.

Limited dinner menus change every night and present you with five courses made from our personal collection of superior recipes. Every night we offer seafood, meat & poultry entree selections. Much of the beauty of Eagles Mere is protected by a Nature Conservancy and State Forests. Trails range from 2 to over 50, leading to Vistas, Waterfalls, and Trout filled streams. Enjoy World’s End State Park’s nature trails, Loyalsock Creek, Canyon Vista, and High Knob’s spectacular sunsets. Rickett’s Glen State Park has 22 waterfalls from 11 to 94 feet high. A 4-mile natural gorge trail boasts 17 wild, free flowing waterfalls. Also visit the Covered Bridges dotting the area.

"On-site" attractions are on our property or within easy walking. Just 400 paces from the Inn lies a crystal clear lake enveloped by a forest of Pine, Mountain Laurel and giant Rhododendron. Two mile Laurel Path encircles the lake past streams, boulders and caves to the Old Fashioned Beach & Boat Club. In Summer Swimmers, Sailboats & Canoes ply the lake. In the winter the lake is the scene of the famous Toboggan Slide, Ice Skating and Crosscountry Skiing.
